i tried the tracking AF today with the 35/1.4
on continuous AF i had extreme difficulty getting a lock on my standing subject. when the subject started walking slowly the camera for the most part was able to keep pace.
the viewfinder is enormous and very well done! the body felt good, the textured material on the body is great because it is a little bit sticky. the grip bump on the right side felt good to hold. however the 56/1.2 did seem a bit front heavy on the body.

HU: as of right now (3:20am PST) Amazon US has X-T1 lens kit in stock (Prime).
Mine arrives today... haven't been this excited since the X-Pro1

Mine came this morning, and just did some work shoot with it. (table-top product shots)
Quick observation:
• EVF is indeed huge. Not that one in X-E2 is bad or anything. GUI on T1 EVF is more refined, simpler and smaller than the one in X-E2, optimized for picture viewing, and somewhat made towards serious users.
• Just about the same body width, but definitely more substantial and solider feel compared to half plastic X-E2. SD card door is a bit flimsy when I'm holding the grip. Again, X-E2 is not bad (mostly solid but mine makes a tiny click noise when I hold the back of camera near the battery compartment), but a step or two above.
• Having physical dials for all exposure control is really great.
• 4-way d-pad is a little harder to operate compared to X-E2 due to size and shape. (I like E2 one better)
After the shoot I had to snap back to non-photo work at hand so I haven't had time to really look into things, but so far it felt really good in use. Will have some more work including location, people shots soon so I'm looking forward to finding out more about T1.
Side note:
BTW, after handling the T1, E2 is nothing less of a camera than before. It's a little (and light!) gem definitely has its place in the series. I'm planning to use it as 2nd lens body for work, and as a lightweight EDC coupled with 27mm.
Side note 2:
Wow. The 18-55mm is the best "kit zoom" I've ever used.

and they chose not to label it!

Have you tried mounting M-lenses yet? How does that compare to X-E2?

Get on hand to play with X-T1 for a while, found it very comfortable to use (maybe due to I am used to film camera with dials). Only one thing bother me is, why crop sensor though it seems not a matter in actual outcome but if it's a full frame, I will get it immediately.
Can I use my LTM lens on it ?

Crop sensor, with lenses designed specifically for that sensor, allow the lenses to be smaller, lighter, and less expensive (or in Fuji's case, higher quality for the same price).
You can use LTM lenses on it with the right adapter, but you will have the usual crop factor.

The APS-C sensor has no fundamental disadvantage when used with focal lengths that give the same angle of view you are used to with 24x36 mm media. You can stand in the same place and enjoy the same perspective.
Similarly, the DOF is approximately the same when the lenses for the APS-C camera have wide enough apertures.
http://www.falklumo.com/lumolabs/articles/equivalence/
The Fujinon XF lens line is structured to meet both these goals.
A more expensive camera with a 24x36 mm sensor will have more dynamic range and signal to noise ratio. Older 24x36 mm sensor cameras may not.
However, if you simply feel a larger sensor is required, then that's what you should buy.
The LTM lenses will work with two adapters. You need a LTM to M adapter and a M to XF adapter. There are numerous M to XF adapters sold by third parties. The Fujifilm adapter is more expensive. But you can set up your own correction parameters for vignetting, color shifts, and barrel distortion with the Fujifim adapter. Using manual focus on the XT-1 is practical. There are three different focusing methods available and they can be used in full screen or dual screen mode. I assume a LTM to ZM adapter has no effect on the function of the Fujifilm M to XF adapter communication with the camera, but I have never tested this.
Some LTM lenses will work better than others because some optical designs are more compatible with color filter array micro lenses.

Could any of you report on the AF performance using the xf60 mm f2.4 on the X-T1 ?
I've recently re-squired a copy of the lens. Considering a second body to fly next to the Xpro-1.
If the XT-1 is a major improvement I may jump otherwise it's going to be a cheap second hand XE-1 or another Xpro.
Thank you for your comments
Cheers !

I like it a lot. The fly-by-wire focusing on the x-mount lenses drives me crazy though. Damn traditional rangefinders have me spoiled.... As a result, despite the great split screen feature i keep my x-t1 in af mode almost exclusively.

Yeah, not sure what's taking Adobe so long... in the meantime, I've decided to send mine back for the flare defect repair.

Let us know how quick it goes and if they fix the d-pad too.

Have you tried with MF lenses, and does the magnifier screen to the right work well? can you tap zoom in more?

I will... awaiting the labels in the mail.

The anecdotal evidence is the D-pad is not modified or changed in any way in the repaired cameras, or in the most current new bodies leaving the factory.
Some people report the rear control/selector wheel was replaced when the light leak was fixed.
