I agree about the Robot, but then again... they didn't say what they were teasing. We just assumed.

I think their Middle Eastern marketing department just got a little carried away with the whole "teasing" strategy and decide that slowly unveiling a virtual robot was a good idea. It is ridiculous but ultimately also totally irrelevant.

Suppose to be between xe and xp in terms of price according to latest rumor.
An interesting approach by Fuji, compared to other camera makers like Nikon. Nikon and others I am familiar w/ they work on the new features and innovations on their flagship products and then pass on the stuff down stream over time. Fuji so far to me has been doing it the other way at times - examples
- more normal approach Bayer to xtran sensor tech - x100 to xp1
- ovf/evf proven in x100 before xp1 was announced
- pdaf phase detect added in xe2 before xp1
- better evf in both xe1 and 2 before xp1
- faster CPU and data path in x100s before any changes to xe1 or xp1
- split image and focus peaking in x100s before xe2
So in short, the things we are seeing in the xe2 and the rumored xt1 will be part of what will be in the xp2. I suspect they are not going to push a true next gen xp2 out until they have a next gen sensor. Similar to what they did for x100 to xp1 situation. Maybe it will be their organic sensor or a larger mega pexil sensor (they would need to improve their digital processing path to get more mega pixels as well as CPU I would guess).

I have a feeling we will not see a X-Pro2. It seems the X-E is the more popular camera by far. Also, the X-T1 will most likely be more popular as well seeing as the A7 and E-M1 are very popular cameras with a similar shape. It kills me to say it, but the X-Pro1 may have been a one time deal.

X-Pro1 wasn't popular because of it's introductory price ($1800?!#!), awful autofocus, unsable manual focus, buggy firmware and poor lens selection. Not because it was too big.

Yikes. I love my XP -and thanks to the XE for being the gateway to it. Looking forward to finding out about the XT, whatever it is.
- It was $1699 (which was a decent price for the time two years ago) It was basically the NEX-7 and this camera at the time.
- The autofocus was not awful, it was slow but locked on right in most situations
- The manual focus was usable, just not in the way RFF folks wanted i.e. with their RF lenses
- buggy firmware? Such as? There's a difference between buggy and adding features.
- Poor lens selection? an equiv 28mm, 50mm, and 90mm weren't a great start to what they ultimately ended up offering?
