Hi folks, I recently bought a Leica M in 60s' from a renowned shop on eBay. The camera is mostly in mint condition as described but there is some very tiny, tiny traces of dendrites-like structure on the upper right corner of the VF. I managed to take two shots from front and back of the VF and attached them here. Could anyone share some view on whether these are fungus? and if they are not, what are they?

BTW the seller is very friendly and willing to accept return (or a 10% refund at around $100), but I'd like to know the nature of these things to decide. any comments and advices are appreciated. thank you!

yep...fungus..seems like it is only on front glass...take top plate off and clean it with piece of cloth

Not a big deal. Take 10% off

There's the risk there may be more elsewhere that you can't see. I'd send it back.

Send it back,

For the price you paid (1K$?) you should be able to grab a freshly CLA'd M2

No sense in cleaning up a mess at full retail price.

That's not a bad price for mint or mint- grade. Obviously it's going to need a cla soon anyway. Why not do it now and keep it. I always send my stuff out for service off the Bay, unless it can be backed up it was done in the last 2-5 years.
