FYI, M3 on the bay

no connection to seller, in fact I was seriously considering buying it, but am still a little gunshy about buying from the bay after my last experiences. Not having a lot of $ right now doesn't help either...the m3 i was going to buy...


someone tell me this is a terrible deal so i don't feel so bad...(or conversely, someone buy it and keep it for me until i can afford it in a month or two)

Looks like moisture damage around the self timer. Corrosion on the meter. Note that the seller does not claim the camera works.

That is indeed a terrible deal. To get it in to nice shape again would cost you at the very least 2/3of what it's going for right now.

I looked at that ad. Seller is not registered in the USA. The ad has too much hype and is not written for the knowlegable Leica buyer. Best to pass on this one.

It will go for near 500, that's insane.

M3 in REAL user condition and working correctly pop up for that price from time to time.

One of those and a J8 while you save for some Leitz glass and you'll be a happy camper 🙂

I saw an M2 today that went for 336 Euros and did not look too bad - but I had to work and could not bid....
