Gallery open again

All,

The migration is taking longer than expected. Therfore, I have opened the gallery once more until I get closer to the actual migration date.

If you can think of pictures you don't want please remove them. It will make it so much easier to move files this way. There are close to 15 thousand pictures on there. WOW!

i think any gallery that still says 'rename this gallery' can be deleted. i know that a lot of people that dont actually exist were created during the last migration. for example, my old gallery is still there under the name 'timG' but I cant do anything about it since I cant login as 'timG'. I think this happened to a lot of other people, and that makes up the bulk of the unchanged gallerys. so, delete the ones that havent been touched since last migration, and this would probably save get rid of a lot of pictures.

Okay... I just deleted 2/3's of my gallery. Good time to do some editing to clean up.

Jorge, why not simply delete the galleries of all users who haven't signed in in six months?

I think it's an excellent suggestion. Perhaps a staged migration could be made?: galleries of those which have been renamed. For about a week you could announce that all galleries that have not been renamed from "rename this gallery" will be dropped during the migration. That will give a chance for regular users to update their gallery.

NOT AT ALL !! This would blow out all my older pics.!! I still got one gallery of this kind which could not get migrated once, because I had to take a second identity for the forum. 2 identities and two galleries now, the older one is a "rename this gallery" type.
And there is a bunch of guys here who have the same prob.

Believe it or not, I tried that already. But I cannot log in with my old identity and pwd, presumably because it is linked to the same e-mail adress.

The whole prob came from the fact, that one could log in for the gallery only. For the forum access you later needed a second identity plus pwd but the software let you use the same e-mail adress. A bug.
After the first migration my gallery was off for a while, thought it was lost and started a second one with the forum identity. The galleries could not be integrated after the migration so I got two now, one without access.

Couldn't tell whether it's "you" that couldn't do it, or "Jorge" that couldn't do it.

So you can't access the old gallery, you've started a new one, but you won't let Jorge delete the old one?

This has gone far too long, why the hell did I waste my time with explainin' you
what happened ? It does not concern you anyway.

If Jorge decides to delete my old gallery, he will do it, that's another story. But YOU better care about your own masterpieces instead of giving me orders about what I have to forget !

Man ,sometimes I wonder where some take all this kinda arrogance from... 😡
