My first pick is Motion Runner's - Midtown
I think you either like shots like this or you don't, I do and this one really caught my attention this week. A simple yet well constructed composition which lets the content speak for itself. It all seemed right to me even down to the yellow(ish) brick work contrasting well with the red lettering or the straight lines of the bricks and path being offset by the wonderful snake-like curve of the post.

The best camera is one that still works!
Hi Simon ... great to see you heading up this thread again.
I liked this pic by Carlos M because of it's simplicity courtesy of a very good geometric composition and the tonal range from light to dark is smooth and subtle.

My only colour pic this week is by randomm. Very uncomplicated but striking image ... and an excellent decision to crop it square IMO.

Thanks Keith for the mention.
My choices for this week below. Last one I'm not sure whether it qualifies as it was uploaded on Monday a week ago. Is this from Tue to Mon, or are we not taking it so seriously? Anyway here we go in no particular order!

Another week and more picks:
jky - "Oaxaca", Perfectly composed to take maximum advantage of the light. I especially like the light on the face of the person holding the candle.
snausages - "***", So many layers to this, and it has Attitude with a capital A.
Jamie Pillers - "Friendly", From the thumbnail the taxi driver looks like a dog hanging out the window, now, well he still looks like a dog. I like the scene, lots to wonder about, sure wish I could see more of his face.
ChEc - "2010_11_09_0134", Love how her hunched forward shoulders adds a sense of chill to the overcast day, the white Converse top it off nicely.
icemendicant - "Four Photographers in Reculver", Great shot, my first thought was what on earth were they pointing their cameras at?
cfritze - "p944873584-3", t's beauty is in it's simplicity, so well seen.
ludoo - "L1040618", Very nice tones throughout, and I like how the people are composed within the lines of the columns, statue, and buildings.

How do you guys filter the gallery to see the pictures form last week? I remember seeing a couple photos I really liked, but I have no idea how to find them again.

I thought I had chosen too many - 32 - until I counted the number of photos in the gallery for the week - 656 or so.
So, these 32 are only 5 percent or so of the total ...
