How do you guys filter the gallery to see the pictures form last week? I remember seeing a couple photos I really liked, but I have no idea how to find them again.
Beneath the thumbnails, over to the right, beneath the Search field, is a 7 Days link.

It's not easy to avoid repeats, so I'm not going to apologize for giving credit where credit is due.

I think this is a clever composition of what looks like burger boxes. Nice tones and nice pattern. I love it!
Jeicob
I love the shapes and composition in the photograph below of the OOF people and background . Very nicely composed.
slantface
BELOW - Elegant!
sara
BELOW - Like a musical score.
Frank Petronio
BELOW - Octagon, spheres, swooping curved lines. A geometry lesson at Target shopping center. Excellent combination of shapes and form.
paulfish4570
BELOW - Beautiful light creating a wonderous space.
gho
BELOW - Wonderful pattern of fence line and the line of trees near the horizon. Nicely composed landscape.
chris000
BELOW - Great shadow self portrait. The tree and your shadow create a really nice shape. Nicely done.
direwolf101
BELOW - I love these interior shots with their soft glowing gray tones and geometric shapes. Nicely done!
Carlos M
BELOW - This almost becomes abstract with it's flattened space. Nice composed with a touch of spacial ambiguity. Nice soft tones.
p.giannakis
BELOW - There is a filmy transparent quallity of the bag that creates a delightful quality of light. I would love to see a well done print of this.
Keith
There were so many more great photographs this month the there is just so much time to spend here. Sorry for the beautiful ones that I didn't select. - Jim

Petronius. That dove doesn't look real. I have a personal photographic fixation on animals at the side of roads. I think the roadside lines must have an hypnotic effect on me. Anyway, I love this shot.
Dave Lackey. He captures an earth mover cutting into the red Georgia clay with a sky that mimics the color of the clay. And, a gorgeous shot to boot. Glad that Dave has joined us in the Gallery.
Tim Barker. A nice portrait. His subject's position and the way he's lit her eyes are really nice.
Jamie Pillers, infusing this abstract work with just enough figurative reality to let us know what we're looking at, but leaving in enough abstraction to leave us wondering. Someone suggested cropping out the foot. I like the foot and I'd leave it in.
Frank Petronio: "America's Got Talent." Not a talent I share (the model's ability to suck in that stomach, I mean). This image can operate on many levels from a study in pure form to social commentary.
mario abuyabor. great light.
mgeary. that blackboard goes on forever.
Tennessee Jones. Great long shadow. Reminds me of Fritz Lang's "M."
pismo 923. he shows us why we're all going to miss Kodachrome.

I like Keith's interpretation of this stark, dramatic composition especially the receding line at an angle.

Many good pictures this week, as always ! I'll post today my 5 color favorites, B&W I'll post in a couple of days...
I like this reportage photo because of the strong emotion it conveys throu the use of the light and the composition: jky, oaxaca
a very simple picture with nice colors: Shelley-Ann, shadows 1
Again a simple picture. I like the colors, really watercolor like and the abstract look, with a simple touch of reality. Yes it works well...

The colors which come out from the darkness and the almost abstract look is what interest me here:

My favorite of the week goes to Frank Petronio.
I love this photo because the lone flag is well caught. It takes quite an eye to spy such a detail amongst the hundreds of balconies.
