here is what i am thinking currently...

sell one rd1 body...

sell the cv25...the canon 50/1.4 and the cv 75/2.5

keep the rd1s and the rollei 40/cv 50/2.5
keep the m4-p

buy a cv 35/1.4 for the m4-p (kit # 1)

use the 40/50 on the rd1s (kit # 2)

buy the rx1...

why not use the 40 on the m4-p? i could easily but having one fast lens is nice and i prefer a 35 to my current fast 50.
this gives me a film kit and a drf kit plus the rx1 which i believe will be my 'last' camera purchase ever (hear me frank?)

Whai is it exactly that you like to shoot: colour or B&W, and what type of photography? You sound, like they say in Italy, to have few ideas, but well confused...

i shot b&w only for most of my life...when i bought the rd1 i fell in love with it's colour imaging so now shoot both.

i like street shooting...have used evrything from the 15 to the 135 lenses but prefer 35/40 now. look at my blog...
i have many ideas and am not feeling so confused these days as i pretty much have settled on this current idea.

btw...my grand parents were from italy...
 
Well, FWIW, if you like to shoot both colour and B&W, I would personally weigh a decision, if you can live with digital B&W, because if you do, things will be much simpler. I had a Nikon D40 once - 6MP, very good sensor, at the time at 1600 ISO performance was good. This camera worked very well in B&W at highest iso, because the look was as if it was Tri X pushed a couple of stops. If you do not mind some noise/grain and high contrast images from your Epson, then you can cover everything for the street with a 15mm and 25 or 28 mm CV. Don't blow up your prints beyond A3+, and you are set.
On the other hand, if you think you like something like shallow DOF B&W portraits, or Ansel Adams like landscape, forget your M4P, and go directly to something medium format.
I have been through something like 40 film cameras and 100 lenses so far, all first class gear, and the nirvana of MF is a Rolleiflex 2.8 Planar. Not best at everything, but this is a camera, that is the equivalent to a M3 with a Summilux pre asph on 6X6 film. You can even scan on some cheap flatbed like Epson V700, and it will be good enough for a 40x40cm print.
To pretend max quality on everything from digital today is useless, you cannot buy it at any price, forget dereaming about the latest Leica digital M something, it just is not the thing, it is a compromise on many points in exchange for a resolution nobody really needs. Life can be full of happiness, when you find your sweet spot.
 
Ok, then personally, and wanting to spend the least money for the best result. I would keep 1 RDs or whatever you have , a CV 15mm. the 28/1.9 Ultron ASPH and your Sonnar 40mm.
Then I would invest 150 USD in a Nikon D40 and another 200 USD in the Nikkor 50/1.8 G for portraiture. If you do not have your own Epson printer, it would definitely be good to get one. Then, I would really try to have fun with this gear.
I want to stimulate you a bit. Have a look at this guy's photography. When you tell me how you like this, I will tell you the gear he uses.

I mean no disrespect, but you have 32 THOUSAND posts on this board and you seem to post the same topic every week. Aren't you tired of that? Don't you just want to make some photos, and stop trying to buy the latest and greatest thing? We've had some incredible photographers in the past 170 years who have used equipment far "inferior" to what you're trying to get, and it didn't bother them. Maybe work on perfecting your technique, and just use what you have already for at least a few years. That would be my advice.

no disrespect taken...but i would point you to my blog or flickr account to show that i do take lots of images...more in fact than many here...or at least i post more than many...
as to the latest and greatest...my newest camera is the rx100, a $700 camera...all the rest is pretty old by current standards.

as to post count...i was the #11 member to join here and have been a mod since day 1...many posts have to do with moderating more than joining in on discussions.

my recommendation to you is to check your facts before commenting on my status here and to please find a new argument than trying to tell me to shoot more.
