Getting up to speed with M8; lenses

Now that my M8 is here I would like learn more about all the lenses that are available in LTM and M-Mount. Including older designs and collectibles. Can someone point me towards some resources on the web that would be a good starting point?

... and that ugly sticker with text on the bottom plate of the M8... does that come of without problem?

Thank you Hans, that kept me pleasantly occupied for a few hours!

Does anyone know how to best clean the glue left after removing the sticker from the bottom plate? Are there any fluids the black paint isn't to keen on?

The camera keeps a little more value if the sticker stays on, it prevents the bottom plate from scratches.

Normal "wasbenzine" will do. I would not use acetone or xylene.
