Ford isn't out of the woods yet. Passing on the bailout may ultimately kill them, as Chrysler and probably GM will have the dual advantages of bailout money and bankruptcy cutting their costs going forward.
It's interesting to note that larger cars are once again selling better than the smaller cars that people have been whining about Detroit not building. These companies are less bad than the customer base is fickle.
