As soon as I finish the current roll in my M7, I'll be shipping it off to NJ for a VF upgrade followed by a Dx-reader upgrade at Solms. I don't expect to see it for some months, so, in the meantime, the HRF will be filling in. I'll start the countdown in a few days. 🙁

I've added a few images from the Northeast Kingdom (NEK) to my pbase site; see http://www.pbase.com/hlockwood/folio_2, all shot with the M7 on XP2. More to come. Comments welcome, of course.

you'll have to tell me how the dx upgrade goes. To be honest, i'd just prefer someone burned out the blinking red dot because i never set my film speed to DX anyway, but regardless i would like to know how well the optical strip works and the difference in ease of taking out the film.

I don't set film speed to "DX" either. My principal reason for getting the DX-reader upgrade was to alleviate the problem of film removal.

I understand that 100%...there's something a little off when you're darn near hitting an expensive piece of equipment just to remove the film
