If you have any close focusing issues, Check with Brian Sweeney. I bought a J8
from him, specifically collimated [modified] for use on my Bessa R, and it is superb!

Whats this no recomendation for the canon 50mm 1.8 can be had for a bargain price great optic and the chrome version looks stunning on the R
