got it! the zm 35/2.8

Looks like great combo. I especially like the blue softie to finish up the Ziess. Post some pics when you can.

i guess i do like a contrasty shot. most of that is done in photoshop though as i usually give the scene a general mid range exposure.

Just a difference in taste, but not by much. I just notice the general contrast in your work. Still very interested in seeing some shots.

Joe, you will like it. I have been putting a lot of film through my M2's and the 35f2.8. It is remarkable lens. Very sharp and slightly higher contrast than the rest of the japanese ZM lenses.
Looking forward to see what you can do with it.

i love this lens, it has rekindled my total interest in the zi again.

i have shot 2 rolls + with it and just need to get them processed.

it is the perfect size, not as big as the 35/2 and a touch bigger than the cv lenses (the small ones), perfect for my hands.

i may never look at another lens...🙂

I have been using the 35f2.8 on one M2 body and the 35f1.4 on another. Low light situation, I just switch the bodies around (indoors, night time etc).
The 35f2.8 is nice! Very sharp but not too contrasty. Smooth mid tones and it is small and compact. Summer has arrived here (at last) so it is always along during the day. Perfect set up for a M2. For some reason I havent used it on a ZI yet, but with this sunny weather there are a handful of rools of Efke 25 calling to my attention and an appropriate reason for using them. The 35f2.8 might just be it.

i may never look at another lens...🙂

you mean you actually gave it to someone else to use?!

I only look at lenses that are looking at me 😉 ! The ones I shoot with alway have a knack of looking at others...

I'm using my 35/2.8 all the time, too. Perfect size and handling for my thick fingers.

looking forward to seeing some results from this still relatively new lens... can't imagine what it offers over my v.3 cron or hexar af for my needs but may your results will show how it can shine... (beyond just ergonomics and size)
