A hearty hello from Las Vegas. I was a very active member in the SF Bay Area group years ago and thoroughly enjoyed meeting other folks.
Any fellow enthusiasts in the Las Vegas area? If so maybe we can set up a little coffee and shoot day sometime soon.

Kent in Las Vegas? I can see that ... especially if it's for a second career as a casino entertainment act like singing covers of Wayne Newton songs!
Hope you are staying healthy, Kent! And that you find some RFF shooting buddies -- I'm guessing the Strip has some prime street photography opportunities, though I'm guessing the casinos aren't probably that keen on photography inside their premises.

A couple of years ago I had no trouble with photographing in and around the casino hotels... but I was discreet and avoided shooting in the actual gambling areas.... though I'm guessing the casinos aren't probably that keen on photography inside their premises.

Hi, Kdemas! I used to live in Las Vegas, back in the 1960's. I had an apartment at 901B Desert Lane. Before that I had a little apartment on South 10th street. I think 501 was the address. I worked for EG&G. I wonder if those old addresses still exist? Probably been replaced with billion dollar things by now . . .
Why don't you post some photos, not of the casinos, but of the neighborhood areas the tourists don't see?

Here's a sample of what things looked like back then.
Leica M2, 35mm Summaron, wide open, High Speed Ektachrome ASA 160.
Here's one from Fremont Street. It might look different now.

I spent three weeks in Las Vegas in June 2019. A collegue lived out near Mt. Charleston and I spent time with him in the countryside and also in the city...

I wish I would’ve seen this thread two weeks ago!! I visited twice on separate occasions, took a camera, and never got out to shoot. I’ll drop a note here if I get out there anytime soon again.

It's been a while since I posted this but I'm just checking to see if there are some other folks from Las Vegas around.
