The nice thing about a tube adapter for the Yashicas is that you can seal off the ends to prevent leakage into the camera if they did leak.
I've used the "Sunbeam" Alkalines, which are made in China for a few years, and haven't measured their longevity, but no leaks in toys, cameras or anything yet.
I have had leaks from most of the major brands like Duracell and Eveready at some point, usually where they sat in toys for years, but am using rechargeables where they fit, and their lower voltages work OK.
