Hi chaps.

I've been using my GW for 2 years now and love it dearly. I've recently encountered problems with the camera where it's winding on further than it should.

At first, mid-roll, it would wind on through 1 shot here and there. The last time I used it, after the third shot it wound through all the way to the last shot on the roll.

I suspect I'll need to send it off for repair but thought it worth asking if this is a problem I can fix myself?

Also do fuji still repair these camera's or would I need to send it off to an independent company?

Many thanks for any help in advance.

Yes and "This is the Man"

Yes and "This is the Man"

The first question I would ask you is if you are closing the back door with the film under tension. Film loose on the take up roll causes all sorts of weird film problems as in Jamming mid roll, Frame spacing problem and occasional wind-on problems. All horizontal transport medium format rangefinder style cameras suffer from loose takeup at the beginning of the roll. The Fuji's are much more sensitive to this and that IS covered in the user manuals.

Then there is for me, THE MAN on my Fujis:

Frank Marshman = Camera Wiz Camera Repair

Last time I spoke with Frank however, Fuji was still working on these cameras.

Franks done a number of Fuji camera's for me and currently has my AE100 lens.

Don't waste time... no web site, and poor on e-mail. Just pick up the phone and call him.

Jeez, people are going to begin to wonder how much kickback Frank is giving me for all this referral work.. .Nothing. 40 year veteran of the camera mishap wars.

+1 on Frank Marshman for top drawer work on Fuji cameras. He turned a 645 folder I had years ago from a nice camera to a magnificent one.
