I was strutting around Yokohama today and tried to find a camera shop.
But I gave up and walked back to Tokyo-Hands.
This older Japanese fellow was walking out with an obviously older rangefinder handing from his neck...
"Excuse me do you speak English?"
"A little"
"Is there a camera shop around here?"
"What kind of camera shop?"
"That kind" - pointing to the older Leica (maybe M3).
He smiled and said....
So I got off the escalator at 2f and saw the RD1 looking at me through it's 35/2 ZM.
Took a couple of pictures, which I swear looked pretty good compared to my normal digital chimping efforts.
Now I want one... But the price was a bit high (24400 or 29000Y with the lens).
It was nice though.

There's a store in Nakano (Fujiya Camera) that still has new ones for 188,000 yen. They have the R-D1s model.
