Very nice series, Mark, you are really using those Fuji Instant colors nicely! The particular camera you have, the 360, is a little notorious for being hard to pull because it has the timer in the back. The Fuji instant film packs are a shade thicker than the original Polaroid packs, so they have extra pressure on them from the camera back, and the timer just makes it worse. We sell many refurbished Polaroid cameras in our shop, and we always remove the timer on the 360s because of this problem. This is not a hard modification you can do yourself. There is also a spring on the back that you should remove too.
To make life easier with the camera, make sure to thoroughly clean the rollers after every pack. Sometimes gunk can build up under the film door as well, so get in the with a Q-tip and some water and keep everything really clean. When people bring their cameras in who are having trouble with pictures jamming in the rollers, they invariably have very dirty rollers and film door.
You noted that the film got easier to pull as you got deeper into the pack, which is because having fewer shots in the pack puts less pressure on it. You can make it easier to pull the first few shots by opening the back slightly before you pull the white tab. If you do this for the first two or three shots, then the rest will be easy.
