Has Anybody Heard from Sherry K. recently?

Hi Everybody,

I tried to contact Sherry K. (Golden Touch) 48 hours ago via the email that I have contacted her in the past (same one on her website) and it bounced back. I called her and left her a voice message asking her to email me with her current email so I can send her my lens to repair.

I have been using her service for about 15 year now and we have a good relationship, in the sense that she has always replied to my inqueries ASAP.
I am just curious if anybody here has had any contact with her recently.

I have had no luck reaching her either. I wrote her three times over the course of two months this summer to ask about a lens repair. She didn't get back to me. I was surprised because when I had contacted her two years ago to service my M2 she got back to me within a day or two. Maybe she doesn't want to work on lenses.

Oh no, that is not good news. I hope she is OK. As far as her working on lenses, she doesn't know that I want my lens repaired because the email I sent her bounced back. When I left the message on her answering machine I just asked her to email me ( I gave her my email twice in the message) and I didn't say anything about lens repair.

I know that she has gone above and beyond to help me in the past so I am a little worried about her well being now. :(

I was in contact with her last week and the 2 weeks before that. She didn't say (or seem) she was unwell but I did not ask. I got my order from her last Tuesday (maybe Wednesday) as expected. The only thing she mentioned was that she was juggling her new site going up and getting repairs/orders out. I'm not entirely sure, but I think she is transferring webmaster duties over to someone else so she has more time for other stuff - but I may be mistaken about that.

That's excellent news, at least now I know that she is OK. I'll give her another call tonight and see if I can speak with her.

The best way to contact her is via phone in the evening she is a night owl..She is not the greatest with e-mail at all..

This has been my experience as well. Two months ago I emailed with a question, and got no reply. Last month I phoned her, caught her while she was there, and had a pleasant, far ranging conversation with her, as I have had in the past. I think she's just busy and that's just the way she likes to operate. Everything I have had her repair for me has been handled in a timely and extremely capable manner.
 
Good news, I just spoke with Sherry and had a pleasant conversation with her. She remembers me as "the guy who was in the bomb blast in India" among other things. I'm actually going to be sending her some of my prints (along with my lens for repair) from Myanmar so she can hang them up.
