Has anyone taken pics in Antarctica?

Chinstrap Penguins. Taken with a Nikon F5. We were in Antarctica back in 2002. One of the most fascinating trips.

Here's another one - Paradise Bay early in the morning - the water was like a mirror - it almost felt unreal!

Interesting to see what an old point-and-shoot camera can produce.
You will post some more pics wont you?

RF Addict - Enjoyed seeing your photos. I thought Paradise Harbour was the most "special place" on earth!I've included one of climbing down from a wonderful view point. also hump back whales etc.
Hope you enjoy them too Jesse - I will try to upload some Panoramic shots later.

Mangie, great pictures.

I remember the climb up that hill - we had one lane for the humans and another lane for the Penguins - it was the funniest site. What a journey.

Thankyou RF

Thankyou RF

It is great to hear from someone who has also been to such an amazing place.
I have a photo of penguins on one hill and people in similar formation next to them, but it is on a Panoramic and have yet to make it the correct size for RRF to accept!
You will be amused to hear that I was dubious about my old camera and thought the battery sign should always be on, so when it wasn't I kept turning the camera on and off before each shot, and still"catching the moment"!!! So I am pleased you think the shots are OK! I was behind the chap who was leading our trip one day and he said as my film rewound "my word it is a long time since I heard a sound like that"!!
I am now looking forward to much more progress with my OM 10!
