Not yet, but I like how it works with the native Mac OS color engine, and will probably give it a try.
The trouble is, if it's really noticeably better, what to do with my ginormous LR catalog . . .

I have too much invested in Aperture, so I know how u feel... But for those much less invested, this could be an interesting path.

Absolutely love it.

The best camera is one that still works!
So does this only work for Macs?

Yes; probably won't ever be for PCs since they build off the Mac system-level color support.
Apparently it tweaks things to get a better outcome than Aperture, which already seems to many to do better than LR for x-trans.

I don't know where ACR sits in the pecking order, but Irident looks pretty impressive by comparison -- at least in terms of x-trans support it brings out tons of detail: http://www.thevisualexperience.org/web/processing-x100s-raw-with-iridient-developer-part-2/
Here is one example (many more at the above link) of a 100% crop comparison.

Have been using it, including in its previous form [Raw Developer, from Iridient] for some three years, and it has become my preferred raw developer. Great looking, flexible, sharper files, with less noise. While I still use ACR for an occasional file, this is mostly if I forget, and Bridge uses ACR as the default. I can't figure out how to reset the default raw developer in PS6.
Highly recommended.

bump! this software is 5mb in size, and supports wide range of cameras, even Sigma's as mentioned (that Adobe seem to ignore intentionally). tried the trial program and it has sophisticated and refined controls for raw processing, maybe even too much for some. software runs smoothly on older Mac. whats not to like??

I have, and like it. It is the only 'other' software for Sigma X3F files (which I hope to use as soon as my DP2M arrives- today !), but also works on Fuji Raw files. I think its pretty good, and the GUI seems to have more ability to tweak images than many others. And finally, the $75 price is quite reasonable.
I will likely buy it later this week, as I'm still learning it on the demo mode.

does it work on older macs...apple wont allow my macbook to load the latest os...my understanding is that the latest aperture won't work on my machine...
