The SWC is one of two cameras I have bought and sold more times than any other. The other one is the XPAN. The lst time I sold my SWC it was because of two things: For one, I had bought a 40mm Distagon FLE; and somehow I didn't like the latest version of the viewfinder as well as the earlier one. I never had any doubt as to whether I was framing correctly with the original finder. I was less sure of the latest version, and somehow just didn't like it. I prefer the one that picks up the bubble level from the camera body and you shift your eye a little to the left to see it.

I may actually sell the 40mm Distagon pretty soon to return to the SWC, which is smaller and lighter. I may just get the original chrome lens.

Also, there's a gentleman, within an hour drive of me, who repairs 'Blads and Rollei TLRs (Barn Owl Cameras). I've never met him or used his services but I bookmarked his site just in case.

He has an eBay presence and currently offering a CLA'd '56 Superwide that looks interesting.

I love the choice of camera angle on this one, including the news stand, the river, and Notre dame in one shot. It seems to sum up the whole area with one view! A great use of the SWC!
