I have a SWC/M with C lens and have a series 8 UV filter. This needs a filter retaining ring or hood to hold it in place. I don't want to put a OEM "new" condition hood as it is $350 on the bay now but want to use a screw in hood that is of good quality. What is the size in mm of the screw in hood for this lens? Is it 67mm?
I want to use this one if appropriate: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/11197-REG/B_W_65069650_67mm_Screw_In_Metal_Wide.html#features

pure dumb luck, my friend
...67mm

i've had good luck with almost any 67mm filter on my swc/m. in fact, it helps the rubber lens cap stay on a bit more securely.
i bought a hood for it (somewhere on the 'net) and it turned out to be for the newer bayonet mount 38-60mm lenses...oops.
there is a hasselblad threaded version but i haven't chased one down yet. i wear a hat alot - either a cowboy or panama or floppy brim jungle hat - and carefully use it to shade the lens as needed. that can be tricky since the angle of view is soooooo wide
no experience with B+W brand hood you referenced...it may or may not cause any vignetting or intrusion into the aov.
breathe, relax and enjoy.
happy trails,
kenneth

This hood looks about right. I have a similar one with an 86mm lens cap that fits in and protects the lens when not used. You can find this type of solution here:
