Have to sell some - what to keep??

I have been drooling over a Mamiay 7II setup (50/80/150) for almost 2 months. I decided to make the plunge and bought it last week. To pay for it, I need to sell off some things. I will definitely sell my Mamiya RZ67 with 50mm ULD, and 140 macro. I will also need to sell most of my G1/G2 setup. If you could only keep one lens and one body from the folowing list, what would they be?

• Contax G1 (non-green label)
• Contax G2
• 28mm
• 35mm
• 45mm
• 90mm

Obviously my G1 won't work with the 35mm lens. Maybe the best possible solution would be to keep the keep the 35 and get a green label G1, seeling off both my current bodies? I don't know.

FYI, I also have a Canon GIII QL-17, and an EOS 10Dand EOS 3 with a variety of glass from 17mm to 300mm. I will probably seel the EOS 3 just because, not because I need to.

Thanks for any and all opinions (inside or outside of the box).

I would keep the G2 with 45mm because that's what I have myself and like it a lot. This could be hard to replace in 5 years, who knows? 🙂

It's really personal choice, but I think you'd get a great return if you parted with, say, the G2, the 35 and the 90. That would leave you with a great user camera and a very useful 28/45 combo.

Or part with the G1, 28, 45 and 90 and hang onto the G2 and the 35. Again, very useful and you balance $$$ coming in and still keep a toe in the rangefinder water.

I'd guess I'd ask if you have any big preference in using the two bodies; if you do, then keep that one. Then keeping the 28 & 45 seems like it would be fit most RF users the best. Or perhaps the 28 & 90?

I just wish I had the money to say "sell it all to me" 😀

Since you mention keeping the 35, that must be one you like to use, and the G2 is the right body for it, so I'll agree with a few others in thinking you'd be happy with the G2 + 35 combo. I sure like mine!

Jay, I've been considering a G2 but my G1 (green label) would have to go to fund it. I don't have a 35mm for the G1 but if that's your preferred lens then perhaps we could do a deal if it would help.
