I don't hide it or display it.So you hide it so no one see it?
Sits in bags until I take it out to shoot with.

Nikon made two versions, this is the f5.6 but it is the f2.8 with the really high price tag.

I thought it looked a little small. That 2.8 is the monster. Still, I'd love to have one. And you can't carry every piece of gear with you everywhere, so it would be spending downtime in a display.

IIRC, the f/2.8 version is a reflex lens while the f/5.6 version requires mirror lock-up and use of an accessory shoe mount finder.
Seller shows the finder with the lens, so that's a good thing. And it's the original finder because it has that F2 shoe mount. I wonder if folks are put off because of the modification of a mount for Leica CL description. Maybe they don't read beyond that, and don't know the lens itself was not modified.

I used the 2.8 version decades ago courtesy of Nikon Professional Services. Took it underwater in an Ocean-Eye housing and got some nice images. But it IS a specialty lens and had no remorse when I shipped it back. (Correction: I used the 8mm Nikon fisheye, not the 6mm. Brain fart, sorry.)
