Heads up short dated rolls of Provia 100F on B&H

35mm x 36exp Provia 100F short dated rolls are selling for almost half the price at B&H. You have to buy in multiples of 5 but I think it is worth the price 😀

B & H has had short dated Provia film since spring time. Clearly this film is not selling all that well.

I think it is more a reflection of the substantial quantities B&H has been able to obtain from Fujifilm. The film sells very well - but B&H has a steady supply. Short-dated AND fresh. Same situation exists with Acros, which is still available at B&H. This is a good time to be a Fujifilm shooter!

I fail to see how this can be true. B & H has been selling film for many decades. They know the sales patterns for this film very well. Why would they order more film than they could sell, and then be forced to mark it down substantially? This makes no sense. Inventory management is critical for a business to be healthy and thrive.


It makes far more sense that this film now is failing to sell like it used to, and that B & H has to mark it down in order to get it out the door. If the film were selling briskly, then prices would rise. Greater demand always results in higher prices.


B & H has had short dated Provia in stock for many months.
