I don't know the adapters but I have had positive dealings with heavystar, and he is a good communicator. I bet if you e-mail him he will guarantee that they work properly.
I have had adapters made in Japan (Bower?) that did not bring up the proper framelines. I have adapters from Camera Quest that work great.

Copper is a rather soft metal for making lens adapters.

it is a funny choice to use too, its rather expensive. i guess no one is using them so ill buy some others. its just that i need a set of 3 and these are cheaper than the Camera Quest ones.

I have a Heavystar 28mm LTM / M adapter. It does not bring up the frame lines correctly in a ZI or a CLE. Unfortunately it is cut too short rather than too long where you could just file it down a bit.
I ended up buying one from Camera Quest. I guess you get what you pay for.
But I do use the Heavystar adapter for 24mm and 21mm lenses where you don't use the framelines. It works fine for those lenses.

I use a 35 heavystar adapter. It brings up the correct lines, however it is NOT made of copper with chrome. It is indeed aluminum. That said, it was cheap, arrived quickly and works fine.

how old is it? and 35mm lines are the default so i guess thats hard to mess up.

I have two Japanese adapters bought from www.fedka.com, and they work as well as the Leitz and CV adapters (one each) that I also have.

I bought my adapter in June. And yes, the 35mm lines are pretty hard to screw up. On the plus side, the think is well made, no sharp jagged edges, no burrs and everything goes together nice and tight. But with a CNC'd part, that should be expected...
Once I decide I want a 90mm, I will again turn to heavystar if an adapter is needed.

I have a 35 and a 50 and they work fine. Any $90 expenditure on a single adapter I find ill spent and would rather put that amount toward a good lens. Heavystar's are I think $18 or so. Americaneagle is also inexpensive and I bought another set from him. More or less the same quality. There may be a sharp edge in the inside thread fitting, but I keep it on my lenses nearly all the time. No problems. YMMV.

I bought a knockoff one, and it won't lock onto my M-bodies. I will eventually get around to filing the "catch-hole" a bit deeper.
I shopped around, bought original Leitz adapters at good prices, and I'm very happy now. I think they're worth the extra $$.

I had one that would not lock, bought from a seller in China. I returned it and got my money back immediately. Heavystar stuff and American Eagle all worked fine in my experience. Everyone has their own priorities... mine was never adapters. If they work they work. YMMV.

I use three I got from heavystar, on my Bessa R2a they work fine. And they are made of brass rather than copper. I don't know if they would bring up the correct frame lines on other cameras but I didn't need that capability, just correct focus.

I've had very good luck with Heavy Star. If you have problems you write him and my bet is he will make it right. He cares about his customers.
