I would like to say Hello to all; I made the plunge after being a lurker here for some time now. I’ve wanted to find a reason to get back into film after a long stretch of digital only. I couldn’t find a reason so I made one, I sold my digital SLR. Imp now awaiting the arrival of a Zorki 6 from across the pond. So this is my long winded message to say hello to all and welcome a new recruit

I think you made a good decision! Welcome! I know you'll enjoy it here!

Peter

ps Please post a pic of your Zorki 6 when it arrives!

Welcome, that's going to be quite a workflow transition from digital to film, and an FSU at that.

You now know where to come for help. Don't be shy.

a Zorki, eh? I started my descent into RFdom with a GSN.. then a Kiev.. then a half dozen FSU lenses.. then a Contax IIa, Canonet, Vivitar 35ES, Zeiss Ikon folder, Leica M3, Contax T, 3 summicrons, and a CL

resistance is futile!

I noticed you are from Fort Worth also.

If you are interested in Russian cameras I saw one at Fort Worth Camera on 7th St today. I didn't ask the price though.

You should check it out.

Zorki 6 plus a couple lenses and a scanner should be a sweet setup. The itch to get more FSU gear after your first purchase is high but i find it tapers off after the inital high. Being a dirt poor student and not having bought a scanner yet helps in that regard. I also need to buy more film and darkroom supplies before i can consider more cameras and lenses. I always have to remind myself of ongoing expense with film when looking for cameras on ebay.

Welcome to this great community.

Welcome, and make yourself at home :) This forum is full of great helpful people.

Zorki 6 is a great camera. So good luck, and wish you get a good working one. Even if not, I'm sure with the help of others in the forum you will be able to repair it :D

Welcome, Cking! Looking forward to some photos from your "new" camera.

Welcome ! I , too, recently got a Z-6 with I-61 L/D lens and what a beauty of a lens. I'm enjoying it so much. The Z-6 is nice with the lever advance and hinged back. The I-26M is no slouch either.

Thanks all for the warmest of welcomes, as soon as I get the camera and my set up put back together Ill be sure to post here. I don’t believe the transition from digital to film is going to be a hard one; I’ve shot film for some time now, just not on the RF side. I used to have a Nikon fm2. Again thanks all for the welcome and I can’t wait to get going with film again.
