Have been here for almost a week and amazingly the weather has held up, except for Sunday afternoon when we climbed the Sugarloaf in Co. Wicklow in the lashings of rain - could have done without that! I brought my two M7 bodies and 15, 35, 50 and 75mm lenses. The primary purpose of the visit is a wedding and I've used all the lenses except the 50mm Summilux (which kind of surprises me - that 50 is one of my favorite lenses). The wedding was exclusively 35 & 75 and I'm really interested to see how they come out (all XP2 so I'll have some sample pics pretty quickly ;)). My one regret so far is that I had made arrangements with RFFer formal (David Gray) to meet here in Dublin but I had to cancel due to sudden family commitments. My apologies to you again David if you get to read this. Tomorrow I'm spending the whole day street shooting in Dublin so I really hope to get a couple of good shots - I'm really loving this 35+75 combo... Unfortunately I'll be returning at the weekend. :(

glad to hear from you peter!!! enjoy the rest of your time in dublin and here is to smooth safe travels home.

Thanks Ralph! I'm loving it here except for the traffic in Dublin. :( My wife has been following the World Series as much as she can and is ticked that she has missed all the fun... ;) I'm just really looking forward to tomorrow and the chance to shoot downtown. I used to live here and really love the city.

Roland I will be more than happy to have another pint. :D Right now I have had some Jamieson and am a bit woozy though... ;)

Slainte'! Love Dublin, Cork even more! I've got friends down on the Beara Peninsula, and it's my favorite part of Ireland. I can't wait to get back! Maybe in the spring...

Best!
Don

Don my favorite is Connemara but I won't be getting there this trip. :( Today the weather is just beautiful and I'm going back down into Co. Wicklow for the day. Staying out of Dublin as the traffic there is just horrendous. They've had an incredible increase in population here in the last 5 years and the roads are absolutely clogged - you can't move anywhere. Still - I'm really enjoying being here. :)

Hi Peter,

Just saw this post now. I hope you had a good time, perhaps we'll meet the next time your are in Dublin or I'm in Boston.

Any good pictures?

Regards,
David
