Helmand Return. Bringing the front line to UK streets

It's a good initiative even if it's scope is limited... for those 'at home' having a chance to, at least view the surroundings of modern conflict management. I've spent a number of years in these type of environments and found it almost impossible to share day-to-day experiences with friends and relatives. These photos may help in making that a bit more possible.
 
Docu stuff aside, does anyone else find the pictures hard to look at due to the processing?

I was my self too wondering about the post-processing. I'm not sure how I feel about it. It looks unreal, but gives a phenomenal amount of detail.

I wonder, is it HDR or a single frame?
