If you only have one speed then this cannot be caused by the blinds in the wrong place. If the blinds are correct then you should be able to tell by the position they end up at when the shutter is released.
I would suggest that you have either fitted the crescent shaped arm incorrectly or the spring on this arm needs a little bend to increase the tension, it should push inwards towards the shutter selector and downwards towards the camera body.
The correct position, when the shutter is cocked is shown in the picture below.(shutter selector is on Z position)

I've been looking at this for inspiration; I've a silly little problem with a Zorki 1c.
All that's wrong is that the shutter speed dial is about 2 or 3° out of alignment and it's a pita when on 1/200th or 1/500th as I can't see which at a glance.
It seems to me that all I need do is unscrew the grub screw and then either lift off or unscrew the shutter speed dial. But how can I hold the inner firmly whilst unscrewing the outer? And is it a RH or LH Thread?
Any help would be appreciated.

It is easier than you think. Just loosen the grub screw and the dial can be rotated to the correct position. Then tighten the screw. The dial is not screwed to the inner part.

As Fanshaw says - on the Fed, the dial is screwed to the shaft, but it's not an issue if you are only moving a few degrees (standard right hand thread). Sorry, can't remember if the Zorki is threaded - that nice man from Wolverhampton will know though

Thanks folks; I'll have a go at it tomorrow morning when the light will be better and can work in peace. Could everyone reading this please keep their fingers crossed for me? ;-)

The FEDs are, indeed, threaded, the Zorkis are notAs Fanshaw says - on the Fed, the dial is screwed to the shaft, but it's not an issue if you are only moving a few degrees (standard right hand thread).
