Help, Linhof 70 issues

Dear all, I am concerned I am turning into a camera collector, with all the tempting stuff available on the net. I went to see a Linhof 70, 3 lens kit.
The price was fair (well a lot cheaper than any shop), all 3 lens were clean, and cammed to the camera (serial numbers matched), and it came with the Linhof hood, with the adapters to fit all the lenses. The camera and lens were all in very good condition (a shop may have rated it E++, OR E+++).

However, is there a maintenance manual for the camera? problems are:
light meter very iffy, if it does start to respond, the needle is very 'jerky'.
The distance scale on the back sticks at 25 ft, it can't make infinity.
The vertical level in the finder is stuck over to one side.

Basically, I think it needs a internal clean and lubrication. Is it easy to get into and adjust.

Very simple cameras. At a good price, everything except the meter is certain to be reparable. Meters are less certain but still often fixable.

Even with the issues you mention, it is a very usable camera. Especially if the rangefinder is accurate. It is nice to have it functioning in top shape though. Mine had a lot wrong with it when I got it, most of which I have corrected myself. None of my repairs involved the rangefinder/viewfinder though. I have a copy of the user manual, but I have never seen a repair manual.

A quick update. I have managed to lubricate most of the things that needed it.

Taken the meter half apart, the coil had jumped out of it's location at the top of the coil holder. I t have got it back in correctly, but it is very jerky and unresponsive. Strange thing is there seems to be a cell associated with the meter which is not used, only the panel with the wires going into it?

Ranging with the standard lens (100mm f2.8 🙂 )is fine (no need to adjust range finder). However, the distance scale is a tiny bit out (2-3mm) on the scale at infinity focus. I like the incline meter in the viewfinder.
