If I'm not mistaken the FED 5 C is the one made out of plastic instead of metal like all the rest of them.
My intro to FSU rfs was a FED4. it's big ugly heavy but I like it
I liked the feel of the FED3 too
Zorki 6 is nice and feels quite small compared to the others and Zorki 4 has a Jupiter 8 lens on it, what more can you say than that.
You can't really go wrong as long as you find a nice working example, though I bet you end up with several.
Russian Rangefinders seem to be like London buses........

First time poster and I am still laughing at my FED 5. Not in a bad way however. This camera has character that my digital will never have. I just wish there was a better way to carry it around. And where do I go next to update the camera? Lens, flash, etc... Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I'd second the Zorki 6, Its a nice camera to use is quite reliable and relatively cheap to purchase, often with a nice Jupiter 8 lens on it.

my autofocus is broken.
Z6! Z6! Acceptable build quality, nice heft, nice long RF baselength, bright finder, decently large, lever wind, hinged back!
