Help Posting picture?!

Sorry, this is totally kind of stupid question. I am trying to post the picture in the gallery, but when I scale the picture size down to 150K. They picture become really tiny. So my question is what is the resolution do you usually use? and what is the width and height?

I use 72dpi and size all my photos to 720 pixels on the longest side. That's suitable for most people's screens.
