Hey guys & gals

You ever get the feeling your not destined to use a certain camera? (thats a thread in its own right!)

After finally getting a good, working Koni Omega 200 set up together, and getting really comfortable using it, I crashed my bike at the weekend and have torn some ligaments on my index finger...

This is typically the finger I use on the Koni shutter, I never had, and couldnt source a release for the grip, and its never been a problem, till now! My doctor says it will be awkward for 2 months or so!!!! I cant go that long with out using my favourite camera....

So, here's the question, does anyone know where I might find an old Koni cable release, or of a brand of cable release that will fit the clamp, and is short enough not to get in the way? I shoot alot with the 58mm lens, and the shortest release I can find anywhere is 8 inches, I got one and tried it, but its in the frame so I guess I need the original, or as close as I can get.

All help would be gratefully received.

Thanks

Matt

Ouch! I have an original Koni release, and have found another shorter one that fits the grip as well (sorry, not selling them). However, I found I really disliked using the cable release with my thumb. It's hard to push. Have you tried using your middle finger instead of your index finger on the shutter button? I don't have my Koni with me, so I can't remember if it's possible. Another option might be to find a way to tie back the cable release you do have to keep it out of the field of view. Good luck.

I am not familiar with your camera so I don't really know, but would going the other way work, that is, using a much loner one that can be directed where you need it?

Home you heal well and soon.
