Ruben: That's my point....the lions WILL win if there's overtime, unless the Christians EARN the win, not pathetically play for a tie and win it with a couple of lucky kicks.....how soccer fans allow 90 minutes of blood, sweat and effort be decided by what amounts to not much more than a coin toss is beyond me and most North Americans....

How do offsides work in soccer? (I'm NOT watching USA -Czech game in the 27th minute....oops USA just hit the post).
I assume it's a floating offside line unlike hockey.....but if the attacker can't be behind the defender before the ball, what's stopping the defender from stepping forward and ensuring the ball is behind him before the attacker?

As for football not being exciting, coming from a American 'Football' fan that's laughable. I remember back in the 90s a visiting American 'football' team were challenged to a game of rugby. They chickened out because they couldn't wear their padding.

Personaly I know a couple argentinians who had no problem buying tickets for 145 Euro from the black market in Hamburg some 20 minutes before the game started.
