Good as a "Oh this is a nice one" shot; would be better if kid was awake and looking at you with one eye open. Would bring more of an impactful human moment than just the ear surrounding by the materials. Ears are tough; still, it does have a nice child innocence to it.

Call me a Philistine (no don't) but I gotta agree with the old guy with a Corgi. Seems like something is missing without the face. You know this child well so your mind's eye fills in the blanks, while I'm just left wondering. Just my 2 cents. Take it for what it's worth.

I am not being harsh, but sometimes some images are worth more to ourselves than to others.

i like the black and white, contrast, different textures, and while the face isn't showing, it communicates a lot, more universal rather than portrait specific. i like it.
