Out to Lunch, on Flickr. Life in the alley. Women selling full moon cakes and chè. They have been running their business since the early 70s, and they're going strong.
Saigon, Binh Thanh District.

Thanks, Guy. Sure, with the difference that in SE Asia, these developments are implemented at a breakneck speed: its entire neighborhoods, instead of one apartment building at a time. Most of the above pictures were taken with, either a Fuji X-T1 or a Fuji X-H1. Click on the pictures to see the lenses used. Cheers, OtL
The younger generation can no longer afford to buy or rent a house or an apartment in the old city. The economy is booming and Ho Chi Minh City -now with some 10 million inhabitants, continues to grow rapidly and many local and international private investors are jumping into the real estate market to meet the demand for housing and to make a profit. As anywhere else, the well-to-do will manage the changes, while low and middle-income families will need some support -like access to mortgages, to make a successful transition. Cheers, OtL
