holiday camera gear

It gets hectic when visiting family anyway, regardless of time of year. The Christmas holiday increases the hustle and bustle exponentially. I didn't want to have to deal with a lot of camera gear as well, so I brought the eminently pocketable Sony RX100 Mark V. It was a new purchase anyway and needed a test drive. Will likely use the same camera for whatever we end up doing this coming New Year's weekend.

Shooting family stuff at this time of the year would have to be anything digital, mainly for the quick turn around to keep the kids and wife happy...Holiday shooting isn't the time to shoot for me...
Our daughter was home just for the weekend, she rode Monday morning and had to return to Denver later that day...I need a fast turnover with this kid...I took 80+ shots of her riding, got home, transferred them to a flash drive before dropping her off at the airport...

My wife and me are planning a two days trip (it's short, I know!) and I plan to bring only my Nikon FM2T with the new Daguerreotype Achromat Lens 64/2,9 to see which results I can get from this particular lens on Ilford XP2s
And in the bag I'll had a small sketchbook and a couple of pencils...
Main reason for the trip is to visit the Jungjin Lee exhibition at Winterthur Museum

I must say I did change my idea, we did the trip but in the last minute I decided to go minimalist and brought with me only the Leica X1. It has been a good choice...
