I got this Honeywell Visimatic 615 yesterday.
Can anyone tell me what the silver button is next to the sync terminal ?
I can't seem to find a manual for it...anyone know where to find one?
Any info would be appreciated.
I can't say with any certainty what the function of the button is, but there are two functions that were common on cameras of this class from this era:
Battery check - it would likely light one of the meter light or one on the outside (white rectangle next to the eyepiece?).
Back light compensation - would cause the metering system to increase the exposure by ~1.5-2 stops.
I did find out that this is a rebadged Petri Computor 35.
Looks like Honeywell was in the business of rebadging cameras in the mid 70's I assume. Picked this Honeywell Visitronic 915 camera up a few years ago after reading an article that supposedly there were only 10 in existence.
Don't know about the exact # but it appears to be an exceeding rare rebadged Zeiss-Ikon 312 down to the Carl Zeiss 40/2.8 Tessar.
Brand new in original box and I doubt it was ever used.
