Hood for GW690

Hey all. Does anyone know if there was a lens hood made especially for the GW690? I baught one of those cheap screw in jobs at a local shop and apparently it was not wide enough. It vinetted my corners. I like to use a hood whenever I can. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Gorgeous shot Grav. Sorry, I know of no hood in particular for that lens. I have the III version with the built-in hood that some people deride but I like.

You could try one of these:

Rubber hood for wide angle

Metal hood for wide angle

But I suggest you try before buying, just to make shure it doesn't block the rangefinder window.

the lens is deeply recessed. the original hood is pretty shallow, so i'm guessing it's not all that important.

The hood I tried was a rubber job for wide angle. However, the nonconed portion of the barrel seemed a bit long for that. It did cove a portion of the rangefinder up, though it wasn't enough to cause trouble for composition. Oddly enough, I have the smaller version of this same hood on my GS645S with no problems with vinetting. I guess I will need to experiment. Rich, which of those websites were you referring too?
