Hood or No Hood?

I always use a hood and try to store the lens with hood on if possible. In the case of a retractable hood I leave it in until I go to use it.

As a part-time, large format kinda guy, I am deeply offended that the choices were not as follows:

o Hood
o No Hood
o Sweaty Baseball Cap

I almost always use a hood, not only does it help with flare, but it makes the camera look cooler 🙂. I agree that they hamper portability, though.
