That's quite a smile on Reilly. He must be a happy dog.
Has anyone noticed that the last few shots on any given roll of film is of their dog. What a great way to finish a roll.

LOL!! That is so true for me!!

Our late, great dog
Hi, Everyone,
Not a great picture, but a great dog, (and a pretty good pose, wouldn't you say?)
Bower was born in 1995 and dies of cancer in 2006. A dear friend.
This picture was taken with my crappy Kodak digital.

Shaken, so blurred
Quite right. I miss all of mine, but am very glad to have had time with them. While I'm sure its painful for you right now, Joe, I'm also sure you're reflecting on all the good times as well.back alley said:what beautiful animals and wonderful friends we have been blessed with.

Dogs are great companions. It's too bad they don't live as long as some birds. I could have my childhood dog with me right now.

pure dumb luck, my friend
dear joe,
dear joe,
dear joe,
i am sorry to hear of your loss.
i haven't had many dogs. i'm a cat person, but i have experienced the loss of a long term travel buddy, co-singer, newspaper reading, alarm clock, mouse-catching, bird-catching, glass of milk-hijacking, pizza eating sweetheart of a would-be pound kitty (shelter bound)...cleo. rip 12/15/96.
for many of us, the animals we call pets are more like family members. when they pass on the sting of their loss can be very sharp. my solace is remembering the funny, odd, sometimes aggravating, and dear antics they touched our lives with and how our shared lives are a good memory to relive time and time again.
take heart and...
...breathe, relax, and enjoy.

Thanks Erik. My house and yard are small, so a small dog makes sense. My neighbor with an identical property has a yellow lab. Bad idea. The poor thing has no room to move in the house and destroyed her backyard.
Plus small dogs eat much less and there are smaller things to pick up during a walk.

Time to resurrect this topic!
Little Zap here belongs to my sister. I caught him sneaking up on me and my Leica IIIa with a 90mm Elmar.
First roll of Adox CHS 100 ART that I've used. Not a complete fan yet.

Fanta's sit out...
This is a shot of Fanta, in her typical pose, when she is observing my wife from outside the kitchen, while she prepares a meal, and (Fanta) is getting ready for a treat ( note the saliva !) She is ten, and we begin to be nervous each time we take her to a vet for a check...
