I'm going to guess you'll have to find out what thread size the lens is, what thread size an appropriate rectangle hood is, and then find a conversion ring if they don't match up.

The Fuji X100 adapter ring filter size is 49mm, and unfortunately everything Leica makes is a different filter size from the Fuji ring size (I was finding rectangular hoods on eBay fitting 50mm and 39mm, etc), so you will probably have to get some conversion rings like apodeictic was suggesting.
Good luck, that is a sexy little combo for sure!

I have the original Fuji round hood and I really like it. Fits snug and works well. Square hood looks cool, though.

Not to be a debbie downer, but I think the square hood looks terrible on it. Looks much more classy with a round one. Just my opinion though
Edit: Ok maybe terrible is too strong a word to use. Maybe, silly?

I'd be careful since you are using a wide angle lens...

Looks like someone has managed a CV LH-1 hood onto the Fuji.

Jeez, what a rig job. I don't even use a hood on my Fuji and have never had flair unless I wanted it.

wow this is very sexy !!
actually duct tape applied correctly isn't such a bad idea !! it would save all the adapter rings
although this hood seems like the best solution

I've tried an old Carl Zeiss Jena 49mm rectangular hood, it obstructs the bottom right quarter of the optical viewfinder.

I think that the Pentax idea might work. The later version of the Pentax SMC Takumar screw mount lens was 49mm and had a nice metal rectangular hood. I believe the bayonet mount ones did too but in plastic.) From memory the metal one (which I still have somewhere) has a kind of rotating clamp fit collar and the rectangular hood rotates and locks in positonusing a thumb screw. Another hood that may work is a voigltander one made in the 1950s to use with lesnses for the Prominient RF camera. I ahd one of these too and they worrk on a similar principle but the diameter may be smaller (I cant recall)

The 310/47 hood for Voigtlander Ultron 50mm for the Prominent 1 is indeed of a smaller diameter, just to save folk from chasing one.

This vid is called "FUJI X100 Hood Hack Tip".
Quoting the video description: "Fuji X100 hood hack. Use a [sic] old 49mm filter ring with the glass removed then mount either an old Pentax hood or a UV filter in reverse."

Has anyone found a rectangular hood that works with the X100 (i.e., does not obstruct the viewfinder too much) that can be found online? Thanks.

I don't think a rectangular hood makes any sense unless you are prepared to abandon the OVF. One could mount an analog optical finder though. Otherwise, the hood blocks too much of the frame.

Astounding what some folks consider sexy!
I want the rectangular hood because it makes the pictures so much better...
