I bet I found this forum though the quickly deteriorating Leica /RF forum at photo.net. I still read the street/doc. forum and the B&W forums there, but this is a far better place to share RF stuff.
An internet search, when I was trying to repair one of my GSN's. Incidently I was able to fully fix that camera with the information I found. Been an addict of the site ever since.
Another forum...a member on that forum had excellent photos, was one of the only rf'ers on that forum. I followed the link in his signature to here and haven't been able to switch to any other forum.
It is the galleries and type of photography that keep me coming back...I seem to be addicted to browsing the classifieds as well 🙂
A good friend, also named Jorge...he PMed me on Fred Miranda and told me about RFF. I am grateful that he did so. This is a fun forum with good information.
Can't say for sure which one, but I believe it was from another forum. This forum gives me better information than most, and does not seem to put down the viewer who doesn't have the latest, greatest, most expensive gear.
Through the rollei_list... Some people were talking about leica stuff & I checked RFF out, but I wasn't interested in anything besides Rollei at that time... After I got my first Rollei 35 I found Stephen G's great page on compact 35's & got hooked after I read up on the classic fixed lens RF's... I joined pretty soon after that. Glad I did too!
if I remember well, was when I was looking for info on the CV 12mm that I bought few days later. Finding RFF was as much important as buying the 12mm finally !
I found RFF through GeneW. Searching for information after getting back into rangefinders (with a Zorki 4K) I came across Gene's site and it led me to RFF. I've found it to be a freindly place with helpful and inspiring members.
Well mine is a big story,
Cause i love street photography my first camera was a Oly E-1.(You know how big it is 😀 )So i wanted a smaller camera and i bought a small digital point&shoot but was too slow. Then i bought a Rollei B35 but feels too small for my hands, then i took one oly 35rc and i find it excelent. Now i find this site through google i order one cannont QL17 and as iam reading this forum iam getting ready to order a Leica:bang:
