How good is the jupiter 12

My copy seems to be very sharp. I do however have to learn not to frame too tightly using my 35mm Kiev finder.

This was shot with my Canon IIf - my only camera which I can mount the J-12 on (screws onto the Nicca/Tower OK but focuses real tight, like something is binding).

I use a J12 on a Zorki "C" and an M3 with an adapter. It seems to flare very easily especially on the M3. Otherwise it is a wonderful lens.

wow css9450, wonderful!
Which serial has yours?

Thanks, its a 59-something.... So I think that means made in 1959. Its the aluminum-colored body. I've quickly grown to like it.

A pity it won't mount on my CL. The metering arm would contact the lens, I think. But even if the metering arm were not there, something else in the shutter framing is in the way and prevents the lens from threading on all the way (I tried).

I love both my KMZ from 56 and my LZOS from 86, very good lenses; special, 3D, sharp, weird, nice imo

your KMZ 59 seems to be a great specimen

yeah a pity it can't be used in some cameras...
