I learned about this site from photo.net. I'm a relative newcomer to rangefinders. I am learning to love them. But as a newcomer, I tend to sit back, read threads, and learn from the ones who have been using them for years. As I feel comfortable, and as I develop areas of expertise I have no problem sharing, but those areas are smaller at this time. Love the site though!

It isn't. Nothing in this forum is necessary. It's one big leisure activity. This thread is for people to talk about how long they've been members and what it means to them.
