I picked 4-6. Depending on mood, and other factors I choose from these categories (shown in order of frequency of use over the last couple years):
Rangefinder- Contax iia (Kieve 4a, much less frequent)
Fujifilm XT-2
M42 (a few different cameras, Prakticas*, Fujica St605n*, Spotmatics*, Icarex 35S, * main ones)
Kodak Retina Reflex (have on camera, but multiple lenses)
Medium format- Ihagee 6x9 folder and Mamiya TLR outfit (my main cameras in the 1980s and 90s).
P&S- Konica Big Mini
Some of the subsequent posts reminded to add the iPhone, mostly for note taking or because it was the only camera I had.
6+ would have been fair also...
Glad to see someone still using a Fujica. I only have two, the 801 and the 901. The 901 I bought new about 1975 and if I were still taking photos, it or my Contax 167mt would be camera I carried. Do you have more that a 50mm for your 601? I have a 50mm f/1.4, 35mm f.3.5, 28mm f/3.5, 135mm f/3.5 , 50mm closeup, and I love them all. Sharp.

Three M’s (M6, M9M, M10P), two R’s (R8, R9), two Nikons (FM2-T, FM3a), Hasselblad (Xpan), and a Polaroid (I-1).
Good grief. The thread forced me to take a tally.
The accretion of time.
Hard to pass up something you always wanted when a good deal presents itself.

I bought the Fujica 605N to use with my Zeiss 50mm f1.8 Ultron. I do have a 43-75mm f3.5-4.5 zoom which is actually pretty nice. The 605N itself came with a 50mm f2.2 (triotar type design). I bought a Fujinon 35mm f2.8 on ebay, but the guy sent me I think a 28mm f3.5! I sent it back (it was also damaged).

I try to rotate through all of my film cameras so that they all get some use and stay happy.

I would like to thank everyone for taking the time to vote and leave a comment. I am not surprised by the members regularly using six or more cameras. With the variety of film formats and sensor sizes it's easy to have a number of different bodies ready to go.

Hoo, this thread is back. Such fun we've had with it, hey!
At last count my arsenal stands at -
Two Nikon D800s (one to be sold)
Two Nikon D700s (both to be sold)
One Nikon D90 (currently used by my partner, so a keeper)
Two Nikkormat FT2s (languishing unloved in a cupboard)
Two Nikon F65 (ditto as per above)
One Lumix GF1 (loved but rarely used)
One Fuji XE2 (used often, greatly loved)
One recently acquired Fuji Xpro2 (still being tested)
Three Rolleiflexes (two Ts, one 3.5E2)
One Rolleicord Vb (my favorite, most durable and oft-used TLR, with a 16 exposure kit)
One Zeiss Nettar 6x6 folder (a shelf queen)
One Voigtlander Perkeo II 6x6 folder (used now and then, will go to SE Asia with me next year)
Lenses of every description. Mostly used, some of the longer ones (Nikon telephotos sadly very rarely)
As for the darkroom, let's not go there.
Film in the fridge, ditto. I'd rather not even think about it. I hope to use it up in '25 when I return to Asia, but well, good intentions and all that.
I may have forgotten one or two cameras. Overloaded brain.
The goal for '25 is to offload a shipload of the above, notably those I've not used for two years. Which will reduce the load to less than 10. I am aiming for six, but knowing me, all bets on this are definitely off.
Such good intentions I have. Even I am impressed with them.
(Added late) This post spurred me on to email my camera dealer. Who responded with the following advice re my future sales -
D800 sales not especially good just now. A glut on the used market and not many want them. Which surprised me.
D700s moving like hot cakes. Even mold one with 110,000 actuations will probably sell quickly. Hm.
They could have a good sale for the D90 kit. Now if I can persuade SO to part with it and use the GF1 instead...
Nikkormats and Nikon F65s not worth selling. Nobody seems to want them just now.
The Rollers I should hang on to. They are now more an investment than usable cameras and like gold, prices will only go up.
All this for Australia. I reckon this would be a good time for American buyers (that is if anyone is spending over there just now, politics being as they are) as our AUS $ is worth a lousy 65 US cents. But the postage across the Pacific would nix any savings.
Also an email from a friend in Malaysia. In the Singapore photo shops, Nikon Zs aren't moving much. Older DSLRs the same. Older mirrorless Nikons and Canons find a good market if the prices are right. In Malaysia nobody seems to be buying much of anything, the economy isn't good and the ringgit is so devalued, my Chinese friends in Perak have cut back even on alcohol, which says a lot.
Tough times ahead, maybe. Not good for my camera sales in '25, in which case I will take them all out, dust them off, check them to see if they are working, and put them back in their 'jamas and on the shelf. Go with the flow, I will.

I’m currently using the following cameras extensively:
Nikon D800 (scanning and macro)
Nikon FA
Voigtlander Bessa R3A
Contax G1
Mamiya RZ67
Fuji GSW690
Fuji X100S
Not used quite as often:
Nikon F4
Nikon F100
Franka Rolfix II
I do have an upcoming project in mind though that will use the F4 and F100 though.

Since this has been disinterred, I'll comment. Late last year I counted eight (including my iPhone):
www.rangefinderforum.com
(I didn't use my film cameras last year, nor have I used them this year.
)
I've just added another camera, which I used for first test photos yesterday:
www.rangefinderforum.com
I guess that makes it nine, now, since I've used all the other eight this year as well. (I also used some other old digital cameras, but they don't count as that use was more nostalgic than anything: the group of eight/nine were/are used for photo-taking with genuine intent.)

All the cameras I own are OLD - even the digital ones!
It's kind of, well, obvious (duh!) but I only just realised that not only do I own a lot of old cameras, but that even the digital cameras I own (the ones I use, too!) are quite old. The most recent camera I own (aside from my iPhone), which I kind of regard as 'new' (even though I've had mine...

Over on this thread: https://www.rangefinderforum.com/threads/all-the-cameras-i-own-are-old-even-the-digital-ones.4815951/ ...I wrote: Whether 'more modern' cameras than that provide further significant improvements (over, say, the 7-8 years since the 5D4 came out) is something I can't...

Leica M9 generally with Sonnar, the Skyllaney Bertele Sonnar or KMZ J-8, or the Cooke Amotal, an M240 now mostly with the CV 40mm F/1.2, the X2D mostly with the XCD 55V, sometimes the 120 close focus and once in a while the A7 III, 24 - 240 mostly. I really need to get out more and stop letting these cameras loaf around. Same for me. ;o)

Right now: the Minox B is loaded and on frame 15—it is in "grab and go" position on my desktop; I finished the last five frames of the B&W 600 that was in my Polaroid SLR670x and will reload it; the Minox 35GT-E is loaded and ready to shoot with HP5; and of course both Leica M digitals and Hasselblad 907x/CFVII 50c are ready and waiting for use always.
How many other cameras I use ... I dunno. I have a lot and use them all as mood strikes me. Two Voigtländers (Vitessa and Vito II), the Rollei 35S, and the modified Retina IIIc are due back from service quite soon and I'll need to test all of them with a roll of film...

I have 15 cameras that I use regularly. Divided equally between Nikons and Fujis plus a Ricoh GRII.
That was 4 years ago. I've somewhat come to my senses since then.
A recently purchased Nikon Z5 has become my most used and useful camera. Eventually I'll use the others more often but I'm kinda enamored with the little Nikon right now.
I still use and love using 3 Fuji X-Pro2 bodies. Today I'm using them only with Fuji lenses and leaving the Z5 for adapted manual focus lenses.
I have several Nikon D3 and D700 bodies. Best Nikons ever. I love them but need to trim the crop a bit.
One Nikon D800 and one Nikon D810. I'll keep both. Solid high resolution cameras.
Ricoh GRII. For those times nothing else will do.
Boxes, closets, drawers in cabinets. They bulge with old film and digital cameras--Nikons, Canons, Olympuses and medium format Pentax and Mamiyas.
EDIT: Forgetful dumbass that I am, I left out a couple of favorites--two Fuji X100S lovelies. Sweet little camera I dearly love. Never will sell.

I have five LTM Leicas that I use in rotation to keep them all healthy. And I have enough Hasselblad V System bodies, backs, lenses, viewfinders, etc., to assemble two functioning cameras. I also have a Fuji X-T20, but I only use it for digitizing my film negatives.
