Frank, I pay about $3,30 for my roll of neopan here at fotoimpex in berlin, old europe, which is rather ok... i don't know how much the roll in the states is.
if i want to go really cheap you can buy a roll of fomapan for about $2,75.
i was just refering to the idea of dumping $4000 in a digicam (about a 1000 films...) just to have that convenient feeling of never missing a shot. you can have that -winograndish- as well with film. at the moment i really like that.
well, the film does pile up sometimes...

The roll I finished shooting this afternoon is drying. I usually try to develop immediately. sometimes after a trip it takes a few days to catch up.

I voted less than 10 only because I just ran 8 this morning, leaving 7 in my 'in box'. I then proceded to shoot another 1 1/2 on a hike this afternoon. Mixed up my microphen and will tackle some of the 9, which will become 10 or 11 tomorrow. It is a never ending battle.

waiting for dev - 30 rolls or so at this point. I can only do 3 at a time currently.
Pro work is all done by lab, but my own tend to sit around. To my shame.

I'm a binge developer. I'll shoot a lot, let the rolls stockpile, then I'll get inspiration and knock out as many as possible in a day or two. I enjoy seeing the results so I don't know why I don't take time to develop as I go, but I don't. It's a case of that infamous 'one day' I guess, as in 'one day I'll get around to it!'...

Wow, you guys are a bunch of procrastinators!
It sounds like most of you shoot more than I do, but an exposed roll of film usually won't last more than a week or two in my fridge. I just can't wait that long to see my results. I had 3 rolls last week, but I'm down to 1 now.

Overweight and over here
Have just emigrated and one of the sacrifices was leaving behind my Jobo CPE2...which means I have a massive backlog of film to process and no gear! Still torn as to whether to get it shipped out (it's surprisingly big = expensive) or buy another here...
So I have most of the MF shots for my book in an unprocessed pile and all my shots from Transilvania waiting for some attention...

I more or less follow Winogrand's adagio of letting films settle down in my brain so I'm less attached to the circumstances under which the photos were taken.

That's probably wise, but I'm too impatient. If I ever get to shoot as much as I want to shoot, that will probably happen on it's own.
