Definitely too many, as I mostly use my M6 with 40/1.4 now.

I have no real need or desire for any more, but if you were to force my hand it would be a modern MP, possibly in the 0.85.

MP .72, M7 .85 (these are the ones I use everyday), M3 from 1955, M3 from ???, and a CL. I was planning on selling one of the M3's, but I am not sure I really want to. The problem is that they are different...the 1955 one is totally authentic. It is a user camera, DS, and really smooth and good to work with but its finder is a bit hazy. The other M3 was a black repainted by CRR Lutton. It looks nice, has a crystal clear finder, but it is made from cannabalized parts. The top plate is above 1 million, but I think the camera was originally a DS. So I don't know. The romantic in my says go for the original authentic one, but the shooter says go for the cleaner finder and camera. I think I will probably just have the finder CLA'ed on the authentic one....

One User grade lever rewind M2 from 1960 withn a rather crinkly top plate but a perfect rangefinder patch. My favourite camera out of a collection of 40 or so because it is cosmetically battered enough not to worry about adding a further scratch or two but otherwise working perfectly.
I also have half a dozen various Barnack Leicas and LTM lenses.
I would like a nicely brassed black M3 to fall into my lap but cannot remotely justify the expense of buying one. I could use my black Industar 61LD on it too!!

These all get used in a sort of random rotation, but the black M6 lives in my rucksack so tends to be used more often than the others.

Thanks to X-Ray, Icemendicant, Terence, Aizan, bobkonos, and FrankS.... I am feeling a lot less ...errr... uneasy over having 3 or 4 of this that & the other, despite that they're not Leicas, or in the Leica price bracket either! Though with a sole Leica M (and a "Pentax problem"), I am feeling much better. These are real numbers, low enough to wrap my consciousness around for a solid Leica-level impact, unilike the unreal incomprehensible numbers of WeirdCollector and Bill Mattocks. (Hmm I don't see Kurt on the member list now)
